Sun Dried

hi! i am ava, the artist behind sun dried.

SUn dried was dreamt up back in 2023, my senior year of high school, as a way to make the clothing i always sought out & to occupy my countless hours spent in the art rooms (love ya cutch & d). they say ‘make what you want to see in the world’ and thats exactly what sun dried has become; a mix of my personal symbols decorating pre-loved clothing. i have always been big into thrifting & am haunted by the excess of clothing in this world and it just seemed right to do my art on clothing as not only a cheaper alternative but as a way to recycle perfectly good pieces into one of a kind, little treasures!

Sun dried finally debuted back in april 2025, at last stop market & since i’ve been popping up all around pittsburgh & the south hills. I am super excited to grow sun dried as an online space, where i can post upcoming markets as well as becoming more accessible to those that can’t make it to see me in person!

block-printing is the way i make my clothing. many ask what block printing is & in simple terms, i carve my own stamps. my personal method starts by; drawing out my design in my sketchbook, tracing it backwards onto my block, carving it out, & lastly choosing a fabric safe ink + a pre-loved piece to print my design.
